Ok, has anyone else picked it up? I've been playing it since sunday and its good so far. I have only beaten the first temple but so far Im liking the stamina meter as well as the motion control overhaul. Its a major improvement from Twilight Princess and the mindless hacking. Now being precise is the name of the game.
Has anyone else played yet? Murg i'm looking in your direction because you own a Wii haha

Sorry, didn't mean to leave you hangin'. I've been sick since a few days after Halloween and I've been busy with shopping, so I haven't been around nearly as much as usual. Anyway, I did indeed pick it up Skyward Sword, but I unfortunately haven't played it yet. Because I haven't played all of the previous games, I decided that I'm going to have a marathon and plow through all of the games I haven't played/completed. I'll probably get sick of Zelda, but I think it will be fun nonetheless.

Did you get the special edition with the gold remote? I really wanted to get it, but I couldn't justify paying the extra money when I already have four remotes.

Oh man, I didn't get the gold wii mote because its so close to Christmas I decided to spend less on myself and use the extra money for presents. But you are in for a treat when you get to Skyward sword, I havent had this much fun with a Zelda game since Ocarina of Time. Honestly, Twilight Princess and Windwaker were fun, but this game is challenging and funny. I actually laughed out loud during a few scenes and I haven't done that since the Gorons tried hugging Link after the Dodongo cave haha.
Murg, what Zelda games do you have lined up? The classics? I've never finished Zelda 2 (that game got frustratingly difficult and I'm on the second to last temple) and I nevcer beat the game boy advanced ones or DS ones.
Haha yankees, thats too bad man. Maybe you could convince her to buy you the wii too

I can't imagine getting rid of my Wii! I haven't been playing it a whole lot lately because I'm working on my Xbox backlog, but there are so many fantastic Wii games that you can't get for any other console. And I'm finally starting to work on getting some of the many Gamecube games that I missed out on, which I will be playing on the Wii (or maybe I'll hook up my old GC since I never did use it much).

Pretty much all of them, actually. Heh. The only one I ever beat was the very first one. And I beat it again a couple of years ago, so I don't feel the need to replay it anytime soon. I almost beat Zelda II as a kid, but like you said, it gets really tough so I eventually gave up. I also came really close to the end of Ocarina of Time, but I got stuck and took a break from it and ended up never going back (I plan on making up for this by getting the 3DS version). Same thing happened with Link's Awakening DX. I've never played the rest... I have almost all of the games now, though, so I'll be ready to start my marathon very soon.

Still haven't played this although it looks fun, i've never gotten into the zelda franchise. When i was in middle school i told the workers at gamestop, and they told me to get out of their store. Can you imagine grown men telling a middle school boy to get out of their store for not playing a game.

But anywhoo, if any of you live in the bay area, you can always try this game at the SF westfield mall. They always have a nintendo set up in the mall for people to play this game and one of the mario games they have out, along with 3ds games.
