    Default Skyrim.

So I'm already 60 hours in and hands down Skyrim is one of the best games I've ever played ever. Anyone else pick it up? I'm already a level 46 with an Imperial, I use a bit of everything but mostly sneak and archery.

Yeah I got it but I'm not that far. I have a severe case of too many games and not enough time to play them all. Currently running Battlefield 3, Skyrim and now UMVC3. I only got a few days of Skyrim before UMVC3 came out so I'm currently level 15 or 16 I think. There's so much stuff to do in that game though, I've barely even touched the main story at all.

Yeah game is full of epicness lol. I just finished up the dark brotherhood which was amazing. Gonna finish the story so I can get some more powerful shouts before doing the rest of the guilds. Be warned one of the quest in the companions guild glitched on me now I cant complete it that guild now. So when you start that guild and finish the quest blood of honor look up "purity of revenge quest glitch" so it doesn't happen to you.

Yeah, I'm only about 22 hours as a Breton and I am in love with this game. Bethesda has made this game more simplistic without making it less enjoyable as a pure Elder Scrolls fan and more available to the more mainstream gamer. Even my brother, who used to make fun of me as I played Morrowind during my vacation time, came over and talked about how awesome it looked. He will never play Oblivion but he might borrow this game, if I ever let it go. I love being so into a game that I don't care about gamerscore. I don't want to spoil anything but has anyone else run into a few Shivering Isles type quests?

I have the Collector's Edition guide, but not the game. Heh. I want to play this so bad that it almost physically pains me, but I'm making myself wait because of how long it will take me. I figured I should finish as many games as I can first. Besides, I'm hoping for a good Black Friday deal on Amazon. With all of the new games (Arkham City, NFS: The Run, Rage, Battlefield 3, etc.) that are being dropped to $30 and less next week, there's a semi-decent chance of there being some kind of deal.

Shivering isle type quests not that I've noticed, probably have, just never put thought into it.

I finished the main quest and it was awesome now just gonna finish up the last 2 guilds and explore.

Well, at the time I posted before I had run into only one Shivering Isles type of quest but I was playing today and ran into another. The reason I asked was because I was hoping there would be several throughout the game. It's just fun to get away from the more serious quests from time to time.

I'm at a little over 60 hours now and still haven't finished either of the main storylines. I think I will do those this weekend when I'm not taking care of my Christmas obligations.

I finally finished the game (well the major questlines and a metric ton of sidequests anyway). My total playthrough lasted around 85 hours but I could have extended it quite a bit because I did alot of fast traveling near the end. Man this game was so good. I'm already thinking about my next character that I'm going to do, which I'm going to start after the Creation Kit comes out and major mods are out there. Mods already made the game way more enjoyable so I can't wait to see the kind of stuff creative people come up with.

Two videos to watch if you're a fan of the game: a beautiful rendition of the theme song and FUS RO DAH!! (yeah there's a ton of these gags floating around but this is the best one yet)

85 hours, eh? Do you recall how long Oblivion took you? I'm ridiculously thorough in RPG's, so I can't imagine how long it will take me. I just know that when they announced that there was an estimated 200 hours of gameplay, I figured it will probably take me at least 350. Hell, I'm playing Dragon Age 2 right now, which everyone complains is super short, and I'm just going into the last third of the game with almost 50 hours under my belt.

IDK if this helps, but I did every single quest in Oblivion, as well as the main quest of Shivering Isles, and it took me roughly 75 hours. Playing through probably 75% of all of Skyrim, and I've put in easily 65-70hrs

Yeah I generally spend the same amount of time in all Bethesda games for my first playthrough. Between 70-90 hours generally. I believe my first Oblivion playthrough was about 75 with Shivering Isles. I spend alot of my time exploring and doing sidequests but there are some, like collection quests and whatnot, that I dont bother with and those are the most time consuming ones. I'll basically take on any other quest that I can find as well as all the major quest lines (the story obviously and any guilds).

The only major thing in Skyrim that I haven't done yet and will probably go back and finish is buying all the houses. You have to find and do a quest for each of the cities (I believe you even have to do a certain amount of random tasks for its citizens first) before you can buy the house and I just haven't really bothered with that yet since I do all my trading in Winterhold where my initial house was. Yay for mods to give all vendors 25000 lol saved me so much time going from city to city or waiting 48 hours to restock.

Well, it sounds like I probably won't put in as many hours as I originally thought, but I imagine I'll probably spend about twice as much time as you guys so that's still pretty decent.

Played a little under 100 hours of Oblivion, finishing about 90% of all quests. After I got all the achievements, I didn't play much longer. I haven't played a lot of Skyrim in the last month but I have played about 80 hours overall. It is a game that I just went in and enjoyed. I'm sure I'll go achievement hunting later on. I got the Orange Box and Assassin's Creed: Revelations so I've been sidetracked a bit.

I've really been itching to play this. I might just have to give in and spend my GameStop credit this weekend.
