Your proudest achievement.
This one is simple; what is your favorite moment in gaming? It could be a literal xbox 360 achievement or a PS3 trophy or just a great match you had online the other day.
Personally, mine is a tie between beating Ninja Gaiden 2 on xbox 360. I was at the final boss, about an inch of health left and I managed to fight him so many times: I figured out his pattern and not get hit once. It took me probably about 2 hours of just fighting him, but it was worth it.
And probably my favorite achievement is beating Ocarina of Time. It's not that it was a difficult game, but the end credits were so nice after all the chaos, it felt like a breath of fresh air.
So what is your proudest gaming moment?

Mine is easily beating Resident Evil 4 for the Gamecube using only the pistol and Knife combo on Professional. Took my a crazy amount of playthroughs to plan out the perfect strategy. After beating the game around 5 times I did a pistol only run on normal to see the ins and outs. Then I did it in professional which almost killed me lol. My final amount time to finish the game was somewhere around 30 hours lol which is crazy because I did speedruns and I could finish the game in pro in under 8. Curtain boss fights took years like Salazar took me if I recall 3 hours to beat lol. Still something I'll never do again but but proud of it.

my favorite moment was jumping over the flag pole in the original Mario Bros
Battle.net name: Omicron - Char Code: 814

Actually, that wasn't the original Mario Bros., but I won't nag you about it. Ha ha.
I don't know what my proudest achievement/accomplishment is, but I do enjoy being able to tell people that I've played Fallout without killing a single person.

Mine would be being able to beat Killer Instinct with just one quarter. Back when I was in grade and middle school, there was a huge arcade just a few minutes walk from my house and I used to go there all the time. Sometimes I would see crowds gathering around people who were awesome at fighting games. Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Tekken, etc. I would always be good enough to beat my friends but not anyone else and it usually took several credits to beat any of those games. Killer Instinct was a game I just got really good at in a short amount of time. The first time I beat the game without having to continue, I actually had a crowd around Me. As I was playing through, people were lining up their coins to have a chance to play me. It was really cool.

Now, is this the original Killer Instinct you're talking about or the sequel? I was really good at the first one on SNES, but I've never played it on an arcade machine, so I probably wouldn't have done too well against you.

Yeah, it was the first one. I played the second one a little but I think I had played a little too much of the first to really get into it. I also bought it on the SNES when it came out and I thought I would be awesome but having played on a joystick for so long, the skills didn't translate. My buddy bought a six button joystick for it but I didn't fancy spending money for a controller I would use for one game.

wow, some of these are pretty sweet achievements. Murg, how did you manage not to kill anyone in fallout? that must have been a crazy game.
and one quarter? You must have been a god at Killer Instinct, MTdrunk! I was ok, but the arcades scared me because I was always afraid of older kids making my look like a fool

High charisma, mon frer. With high charisma and intelligence (as well as the Empathy perk), you can talk your way out of almost every situation, including the final battle. It also helps to have plenty of Stealth Boys handy.

I was able to do that with Orchid. The only other character I ever got close to doing that with was Thunder. And I spent a lot of time at that arcade. It was a just a short ways from my house and right next to a $1.50 movie theater. The grade school I went to was year-round so sometimes I would skip school, spend the morning at the arcade and watch an early afternoon movie before heading home. If I was ever stopped by an adult or cop, I would just tell them my track was out for a couple of weeks. When I got to middle school, I was able to tell the same story because I looked younger than I was. It kind of made it so I spent a good chunk of my youth at the arcade.
I was never intimidated by the older kids unless they were just much better than I was. I remember staying away from Marvel vs Street Fighter after a couple of games because the dudes who played that would have me walking after thirty seconds or so. But they might have been my age or even younger.

My finest moment would be completing Final Fantasy 7 when I was 12.
I loved every bit of them days, were me and my cousin would sit and play it for 5 full weekends on the trot with very little sleep.
I also loved it when I complete half-life for the first time.
