Those of you who are users of PSN should now be familiar with the AllClear ID protection from Debix. It's great that Sony is providing us with some kind of protection, but is anyone else a little weary about this? I have a hard time seeing how these people can protect my identity when they know nothing about me. The only information they have on record about me is my name, phone number, and birthday (the last of which doesn't appear to be in my profile). No SSN, no credit information...nothing. I don't quite understand how they are going to verify that it's me. Okay, so in my case, I have a fairly unique last name and I can only find one other person named Chris Meichtry (a baseball player or something), but I'm still rather curious and I'd be concerned if I had a really popular name. What really gets me is that if you add an additional person to your account, it asks for their SSN.

Anyway, enough of my ranting. The whole thing is just odd and I seem to be the only one who thinks so.
