    Default LA Noire.

Sooo this is one of the Top 5 games I'm most hyped about. Question is anyone else picking it up I have my copy reserved already just waiting for May 17th. Graphics and animation looks ridiculous. Plus I'm a sucker for anything Rockstar even though their only publishing with Team Bondi developing. Plus the achievements look fun lol.

My copy has already been paid in full, for at least a month now. I don't know think it's in my top 5 upcoming games, but I'm definitely looking forward to it. Rockstar's involvement actually makes me a bit weary, but I'm willing to give Team Bondi a chance (especially since this looks pretty great). And Mafia II was probably my favorite game last year, so it'll be nice to go back to that general time period. This will also help make up for BioShock 2 not being a detective story like I wanted it to be. Ha ha.

Sadly, I'll probably have to wait a day or two to play this because it comes out on my wife's birthday and I kinda have to give her all of my attention that day.

I'm playing Mafia 2 now and I'm loving it so far. For me LA Noire is up there with Gears 3, Skyrim, ME3 and Uncharted 3 for the top 5 games this year. I paid it off today was missing $6.43 which was an odd amount even paid off the guide since I got 30% off for it. They gave me a poster too which made my day lol.

Not bad! I didn't get anything extra, but considering that I used credit from trading in games that I didn't pay for (and with bonuses!), I'm technically getting it for free. I don't have a definitive list, but my top 5 (at the moment) would probably have to be:
    1. Skyrim
    2. Mass Effect 3
    3. Gears of War 3
    4. I Am Alive
    5. The Last Guardian

Of course, we have no idea if the last two will even come out this year. Even so, I'm really stoked about them. L.A. Noire is definitely in the top 10, though.

Oh, and I'm glad to hear that you're liking Mafia II. So many people hated that game because it's not enough like GTA. In a time when we're starving for originality, I can't believe people complain about something not being a carbon copy of something else. Too many people overlooked the fantastic story and character development, not to mention some of the awesomely ****** moments like torching and gunning down a place mob-style. And you know, sometimes I like playing a linear game; it lets me enjoy myself without having to worry about whether or not I missed something.

I'm looking forward to I Am Alive but I need to see more of it.

Mafia 2 is great the way it is, its open during curtain times but when you have a mission it focuses on the mission and I love that. Story so far is amazing I'm up to chapter 14 now so I'm almost done. Put it this way its the only game that has pulled me away from the Gears3 beta lmao thats how much I'm enjoying it. Playing it is getting me more hyped for LA Noire which is releasing at a great time as my semester ends May 18th the day after LA Noire comes out lol.

Honestly it doesn't look too interesting to me. Unique in today's gaming atmosphere for sure but may not be my cup of tea. However R* never disappoints me so I have faith that it'll be a good game. Will most likely be buying in the first few days though I'll be going in with lower expectations than a GTA or something since they're not the devs.

Lower expectations that GTA? Personally, I think those games haven't been good in years. GTA3 was okay just because it was different, but I haven't really enjoyed one since the director's cut of GTA2.

I love all the GTA's. Some of the only games I've 100%. 100% GTA3, Vice City and San Andreas got up to 95% on GTA4 was missing the pigeons and jumps till my save messed up. It was back when my 20gb hard drive messed up on me and like 15 different saves got corrupt that was one of them

Gamestop was giving away these LA Noire books today when I went to return Uncharted high five for gamestop used rental service lol. But there like a little art book type thing thats about the animation and story found it to be cool got me hyped.

I just don't see the appeal of GTA, I guess. I mean, I'm willing to play it, but it doesn't excite me at all. But I like Mindjack, so I guess I don't have much room to talk. Ha ha. And I'll have to check GameStop for one of those books. I have to head out to Toys R Us anyway, so it won't hurt to make another stop.

It really depends on what achievements you're going for because some of them are easier on certain chapters. For the wanted posters, it doesn't really matter because as long as you're able to roam the city, they're always available.

For all of the Playboy magazines, you'll have to revisit various chapters because some are only available during certain missions. I strongly suggest using a guide for that: http://www.gameguidecentral.com/2010...o-screenshots/

Most people say that Hairdresser is easiest during the first chapter when you open fire on the people in front of the building. Another popular spot is when you're firing at enemies from the balcony (also during the first chapter). I, however, thought it was much easier to get it during the mission where you pretend to be window washers. After busting in through the window and getting into a firefight with several guys, I got it easy-peasy.

One Careful Owner is probably best during one of the last chapters because if you go to an older chapter, your cars will have lower stats. If you haven't been already, you need to stick to driving one car as much as possible. I drove a taxi cab almost the entire game and had no problem getting this.

Cruise Control doesn't matter too much, but it's better to do it in a later level so you can have access to a faster car. Then you can just get on the highway, turn on the speed limiter, and hold the drive button without having to worry about regulating your speed.

Pedal To The Metal is pretty easy to do in Chapter 8. Just steal a hotrod from the Greasers, upgrade it, and drive over the big suspension bridge that's near the center of the map (running north and south).

Knucklehead (best done at the docks) and Stuck Up don't really matter. You can do these at any time. I can't think of a specific time for Hard To Kill, but I know it's easier later in the game when armored trucks are more common. They're big gray vehicles that look kinda like the Brinks trucks. Those are totally bulletproof, so it will be super easy to avoid being killed by the cops. Heck, I did it no problem on Hard.

Speaking of Hard, I hope that's the setting you've been playing on so you can get all the difficulty achievements at once. Aside from two or three parts, there isn't much of a difference from the easiest setting; you just die a lot easier.

I believe those are all of the achievements that you're missing. I hope I've helped. If not, then a guide on X360Achievements should be able to help you. Also, I noticed that you haven't completed Chapter 14 yet. Are you having trouble with the battle at the docks by any chance? If so, let me know 'cause I've got a surefire way to get through that part with the greatest of ease. I discovered it on accident while playing and now it's the most popular method of getting through that part on Hard. Ha ha.

Awesome, happy hunting! They take some time, but everything is quite easy, which is why it's one of the few games that I have 100% for. Heh. Everything changes with the DLC, though. Those are some of the worst achievements EVER. It's also some of the worst DLC ever. Joe's Adventures is okay half of the time, but the Jimmy DLC is horrible all the way through.

They got all the DLC together on a disc when you buy the platinum hits. Might buy it down the line since I borrowed the game from a friend. Wouldn't mind owning it and trying out the DLC even though their not great.
