Finally caught up!
I finally bought myself a PSP yesterday because I had the extra money and the bundle with LittleBigPlanet, the new Karate Kid movie, and an SD card was only $130. I should've saved the money, but I didn't want to pass on that deal. This means that I now have all of the current consoles available! I've been going through the demos on PSN and finding some great stuff, but I still need to look around some more and figure out what I really want to add to my collection. I also need to figure out how to delete comics so they don't end up taking up too much space.

Don't forget about the 3DS coming out soon! That's like 250$

Something of real value is always expensive - you have to give away a great deal. And to give a lot, you must first take a lot.
-
Oh, I haven't forgotten; I've already got some money set aside so I can buy it in a couple of weeks.

Tell me how it is, if Advance Wars decides to launch on the 3DS, then that means I'm gonna have to get it.

I'm really hoping that will be the case; we haven't had a new Advance Wars game in a couple of years now. There aren't any plans that I know of, but I'm always keeping an eye out for the various game announcements. And I'll be sure to let you know my thoughts on the 3DS very soon.

Nice. I sold my PSP Slim God Wars Edition for $100, just sayin'

You planning to get the Sony Vita too?
-
I'll get the Vita, but probably not for quite some time. Wii U will get my money first and then I'll pick up Vita when there are cheap memory cards and more games that I care about.

Are these little gaming machines worth it? How do they stack up with actually playing on a TV or something?
-
I say they're worth it just because they have a lot of really fun games that you can't get elsewhere. When I'm not playing Skyrim, I'm playing Picross, which has been a blast. And of course, there is the fact that you can take them wherever you want, although I actually use them mostly at home. It's hard to compare the experience to playing on a console because they're both so similar but also so different. It's almost like having two kids...I love them both equally, but in different ways.
If you ever decide to get a handheld, PSP is a good starting point because you can find it super cheap, but its games are all so similar. If you're not a JRPG fan, it won't offer much for you. It also is no longer being supported. Once its last two games come out, I don't believe there will be any others.
3DS is a no-brainer for me. I paid the full $250 when it first came out and I have never regretted it. It has a wide range of options available and it has fun little features like StreetPass, Swapnote, and exclusive videos. And Nintendo is actually doing a great job of keeping it updated with new features and improvements.
As for Vita...well, I ended up getting one for free and I'm still disappointed. It's a powerful little machine capable of great things, but almost all of the games suck so far and it freezes constantly. And you practically have to take out a second mortgage just to afford one of required memory cards. I'm remaining hopeful, though...
