    Default My headset is broken.

I'll be damned, my head is so fat that it managed to outstretch the plastic on my headset. Now the only thing that's holding the fifty dollar hunk of junk is a bunch of electrical tape. Anyone recommend an economical and rage-proof mic?

Something of real value is always expensive - you have to give away a great deal. And to give a lot, you must first take a lot.

I've never looked into them and i know they have a million models (one of which has to be somewhat economical lol) but I heard really good things about Turtle Beaches. Some even have surround sound!

$25? $50? These are so expensive to me! I know there are headsets that cost way more, but still... It's such a simple technology and I hate the way these people take advantage of the customers. It's just as bad as those stupid sunglasses that cost over $400. I've never paid more than $5 for a headset or more than a dollar for sunglasses.

The PC headset I've had for the last few years was free with a pack of batteries and I've never had any issues with the quality. I'm sure you can probably find something cheap on eBay.

I have the x11 for the 360 their ok I won them in a Gears of war 2 tournament so its not like I spent money on them but if someone was to I probably wouldn't recommend them unless they get a great deal for them. I did hear the x41 are great thou but I never used those.

I just bought the Razer Carcharias headset and am quite pleased with it. Got it for $70.

Yeah? I've heard good and bad things about Razer headsets. I personally prefer Tritton and SteelSeries myself.
