Wow really? I mean, the 360 controller isnt great yeah but I never had that much trouble doing QCF Ultras. I used the stock 360 controller for months before I got an arcade stick. I forced myself to use the analog stick though as I couldn't handle the 360's D-pad. Alot of controller players seem determined to stick with that terrible D-pad even though they admit it's bad and I can't understand why.

I agree SF4 and SSF4 sucked balls. I didn't like it I only played SF4 played the hell out of it, was pretty decent online managed to get most of the achievements with out boosting but it just felt so stale. I found SC4 to be waaaay better. I will always and forever be a Soul Calibur Fanatic <3 GIVE ME SC5!!!@@@!@!@!@!@!@!#$@!##@%^@%$^@.

I really like Soul Calibur too, but they make them so freakin' easy. I don't remember which one I played the heck out of (either SC1 or SC2), but I used to be able to beat the whole thing under 5 minutes with any character. Especially Voldo. For awhile, all of my friends and I used to play SC3 quite a bit and I had a near-perfect record thanks to Voldo. Everybody hated him for some reason—they thought he was too hard to control or they thought he didn't have enough moves or something—but he's always been my favorite. I'm sure there are plenty of guys online who could kill me no problem, but I was basically unstoppable among my friends. Heh. It was the same way when I played as Bakuryū in Bloody Roar.

Funny, I was just telling a friend earlier why the 360 controller is the best I've ever used. It's interesting how you can think something is nearly perfect while another person thinks it's basically rubbish. But I guess that's how the saying "One man's trash is another man's treasure" came to be. I actually don't think the D-pad is all that bad, mostly because I'm used to it, but I do agree it's not the best. I'm glad to have it, though, because it makes diagonal movements so easy and it's a lifesaver for quick-select in RPG's. And although I haven't used it yet, the new D-pad design seems pretty clever.

No I actually love the 360 controller...for all games except fighting games lol. The buttons just aren't arranged in an efficient layout for most fighters. And I definitely hate the D-pad. I have the new controller and even reviewed it on my site a while ago if you're interested. The D-pad is ALOT better. And at the same price as a new wireless controller why not. Plus it comes with a play and charge kit. I dunno how I ever got by without one for so long lol.

I have the new Controller and if you plan on using it for fighters then yes get it, I got it for that since I prefer the controller over the arcade stick and was in need of a new controller plus the color is awesome. Also it helps in Gears when switching weapons faster and more efficient yes I know Gears lol but it helps I now don't accidentally pull my smoke out and die when trying to switch to my shotgun lol.

Speaking of quick switching, I also found the new D-pad to be a big help in quick selecting in Fallout 3 and NV (Looking at you Murga lol). You would think the 8-direction D-pad of old would be better for selecting 8 different items but it really isn't. It always seemed mushy to me and I always hit the wrong direction when I tried to hit diagonals. The 4-direction set up is MUCH better even for hitting the diagonals. Just hit the inside of the little + and its perfect.

I can see why the 4-way D-pad would be a lot easier, but I wouldn't be able to go without all 8 directions when playing Fallout. I switch between weapons a lot and I definitely use all 8. Heh. I don't usually have any problems with it, thankfully. Between Oblivion, Fallout 3, Fallout: NV, and a handful of FPS's, I think I've got it down by now.

No sorry you misunderstood. I meant that you can still use all 8 directions even when it's set to 4 way. In fact I find it even easier to press the diagonals when it's set to 4 way, contrary to what you'd think. And I played the hell out all of those games too but i still hit the wrong button occasionally.

Hmm, my post was lost and I don't remember what I had said. But I basically replied with something along the lines of "Oops, I didn't realize that the diagonal buttons could still be used in both D-pad modes." Heh. With that in mind, it definitely sounds like a great controller. If I didn't already have more controllers than I need, I would go get me one of these. Probably still will eventually (although I hate the gray color scheme), but not until my current one starts to break down.

Yeah that's pretty much what I said in the review. The d-pad is the only major change so may not be worth getting but if you need a new controller anyway, there's no reason NOT to get the new one as its the same price as one of the old wireless controllers but includes a play and charge kit.
