You know, this is the sort of game I normally wouldn't like (and I actually didn't like it before buying a copy), but I'm really excited for this. I hate that we have to wait longer, but with all of the games coming out between now and February, it's probably a good thing.

Yea I just want that Beta to cure my Gears 3 itch. Cant find quality opponents in Gears 2 anymore with most of the good players going to Reach and some waiting on Black Ops. Only real good matches is the ones that we set up over at the Gearsofwar website and forums and those are like ever other weekend. I'll say maybe 1 out of ever 4 matches in Ranked are competitive all others My team usual wins 5-0. A game isn't fun unless there's a challenge.

Gears has always been a series that I never liked the MP but loved the campaign and always end up getting even though I say I wont lol. Gotta say though, this game looks pretty sweet. And dedicated servers is always a great thing for multiplayer. Plus they're including TDM this time around so maybe I won't get my butt handed to me so quick all the time and demotivate me to stop playing lol. I always hated dying in the first 30 seconds (...and I always do lol) and having to wait out the round.

Gears has the biggest learning curve in any shooter I've played. Its really hard and takes time to get really good. I'm great at the game but when I play with certain friends and pros on my Friends list I'm left speechless at the things they can do.

I'm psyched out of my mind for this game. However, I've always been pretty bad at the online multiplayer since I always run into gears fanatics

I actually think Gears is very easy compared to most shooters. I can get through the Insane difficulty without batting an eye, but I sometimes have trouble just getting through Normal on other games (except for Bioshock). This of course means that players online are ridiculously good, though. I won't play versus matches online because it takes the fun out of it for me; kinda hard for me to enjoy a game when I have such a small chance of winning.

How's TDM? Does it still "feel" like gears or does the spawning mess with the flow of the game?

It actually feels great. Its a good mode for new players to where they don't have to wait to spawn like in Execution/Warzone and veteran players can enjoy it because they dont have to worry about an objective besides getting kills. I've played TDM the most and I love it but once the full game comes out Ill probably go back to execution, I like the one live thing. Which TDM does have after the main pool of deaths are gone and thats when the game gets intense because everyone has 1 life left. Just got done playing a match where I was the last guy left against the other team who still had 2 lives. After I killed 2 guys they were left with 1 life each where I then proceeded to kill all 5 my friends were going crazy in the partychat just did a 7v1 clutch felt soooooo good too.

I'm not really sure how I feel about that. The extra stuff is cool, but I can't imagine paying so much. But it's still tempting because this is supposed to be the end of the trilogy. I don't know...I want it, but I think I'll have to wait because that's almost how much I paid for my freakin' Xbox. With any luck, this will hopefully still be around for a few months after release so I can get it for a good price. I still see that huge Halo Reach box set everywhere, so I think I'll take the chance.

I didn't hesitate I have had mine reserved since the Epic Edition was announced lol and thats when we didn't know what was inside. I'm also hoping for a Gears 3 themed console if that comes out I'm getting that as well. Lol I'm crazy I know but I love Gears to much to just not do it.
