Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
The more I hear about this game, the less excited I become. It is becoming more and more of an experience that I feel doesn't fit in with the storyline and franchise. I don't like this whole multiplayer aspect they've thrown into it, nor do I like what I see of these new "dynamic" gameplay elements like horse sequences and manning a cannon. And I don't know about anyone else, but I am very disappointed that we are still playing as Ezio. For me, part of the fun is wondering what kind of new character we'll be playing as next and in what country and era it will take place. I realize that this is more of a spin-off (or "gaiden") than a true sequel (it was confirmed that this is not AC3) and that's at least somewhat comforting, but it still bugs me. But I guess I'll just have to see how I feel when the game actually comes out. What does everyone else think? AC haters can chime in too, but I'm more interested in knowing how fans feel about Brotherhood.

I love AC and feel the same way. MP doesn't fit into the universe IMO. From what I've seen of the E3 demos, it seems like it could've simply been a large DLC mode in AC2. Plus I'm always hesitant in buying online only games (it IS online only right? I don't know too much about it as it never really caught my attention either). I'm probably passing on this and waiting for AC3 even though I really want to see their re-creation of Rome.

Its not online only, the MP does worry me but I'm still getting it regardless I love AC to much to put this aside and if it disappoints I will be mad but hey might aswell get it wrong in a side project and if they see that it didn't fall well with the public they wont add it in AC3 which is much more important then Brotherhood.

I'm glad I'm not alone here. Like Yankee said, it's not online-only; that's just what they've been focusing on with most of the previews. There's supposed to be a singleplayer campaign, but very little is known about it and I have a hard time thinking it will actually be good. But who knows, maybe they'll surprise me.

You make a good point. It is definitely better for them to experiment with stuff like this on a side project instead of screwing up the main game. I just hope this doesn't end up making its way into AC3 if they're successful...
