I've always thought the same thing. The first time I played Oblivion, I wasn't in school, I had no job and no girlfriend. That game took over my life for 3 months where I would refuse to leave the house to play it lol. I've went back since then but it's just not the same.

Psht, I did it right the first time. I'm special. Ha ha.

On a side note: I am very much obsessed with comic books all of a sudden. I haven't played video games in over a week (I usually don't go more than a day!) because I'm so wrapping up in checking out new comics and getting caught up in old ones. Just might have to start a new topic about it...

Feel free to head on over here to see a few things I've been reading:
    http://www.fanboyism.com/threads/348...4038#post24038

I'd like to keep this from getting too off-topic. If you want, post what kinds of titles you like in there and I'd be happy to make some recommendations. Without knowing what books you like, it's a bit difficult because I read so many differen things. Most of the new stuff that has been released this year has been stuff from my childhood like Darkwing Duck and Fraggle Rock. Heh.

MW2 on veteran was by far the easiest of them all. In fact its the only one I've actually finished lol non-infinite spawning enemies and a decrease in nade spamming made it way easier

KH: Birth By Sleep. My girlfriend got it for me on Friday and I've played it for around 17 hours and it's Monday. My girlfriend regrets purchasing me it. She got me Loco Roco 2 also which is another obsession. Goodbye social life, hello Keyblades.

I really want to play Birth By Sleep and Loco Roco, but I don't have a PSP. Now that the 3000's are $169, I might start saving up for one.

I don't know why I never mentioned it, but I got Mafia 2 the day before it came out and played it almost nonstop for the next 20 hours. It only takes about 10 hours to beat it, but I did everything I could to stretch out that time. Easily the best 2010 release I have played so far; I can't understand why it's not getting better reviews. People just want to compare it with GTA, although the two are so different. Sadly, the Mafia 2 DLC is a horrible waste of money (it is like GTA).

Since it released, my wife and I have been obsessed with Plants Vs. Zombies on XBLA. I love being able to play from the comfort of my couch on a nice big HDTV. Freakin' love this game. I've already got the golden sunflower, and now I just need to survive 40 flags in Endless Survival to get the last achievement.

I recently got properly into Minecraft and that's been eating up a lot of my spare time.

Console wise, the Scott Pilgrim game has been a pretty big hit for me, I just think that the combat is so fun and the sprites are incredible. The whole game is so charming I just want to keep coming back so I can max out my characters, and get all the endings

I really want to like Scott Pilgrim more than I do. I loved the books and this emulates the style very well, but I guess I'm just over the whole beat-'em-up genre. And I hate to sound like a pansy, but it was harder than I was willing to put up with. I know it gets easier later on, but it's not something I want to invest my time in right now. I do eventually want to finish it, though, because it's a pretty great game even if I didn't have a lot of fun with it.

As for Minecraft...I've been having a lot of trouble getting into it. It's very charming and lets you do some cool stuff, but it feels like a more expensive and complicated way of playing SecondLife. I do like the level of community and co-operation that can be found on some of the servers, though. And it's certainly not a bad game; it just currently doesn't offer me a lot that I can't already do elsewhere (SecondLife, Legos, etc.). I'll probably give it more of a chance when I don't have so many other games to play.

I can understand what you mean by how hard Scott Pilgrim is at first. I admit myself that I was severely put off by the difficult, and was beginning to regret my purchase. I gave it a while though and once I'd levelled up a bit and actually realized how to increase your stats, I started enjoying it a whole lot more.

Minecraft as well was a slow starter for me, I don't have a whole lot of experience with Second Life and other games of the genre. When I first started playing I found the community to be a bit childish on some servers, so I usually just played single player. I think it's just a nice diversion most of all, but as I said, recently I've been building a lot more, and am really starting to see why people get into it.

One massive obsession I had a while back, was with Persona 4. I really, REALLY need to get back into it, this is why I shouldn't stop playing JRPGs. I don't think I'll ever get off disc two of FF9.

I played Minecraft like once and I didn't get into it. But I was in class so I wasn't able to really fully play it.

For me its Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit. Really the best racing game since Hot Pursuit 2 which is still my favorite Racing game of all time. Havent played Singel Player much but so far its good but what stands out is Multiplayer I had a full room the other day with 5 friends and 2 random guys who joined and we played for like 4 hours of just racing and playing cops vs racer forgot the name of the mode interceptor something like that. I just hope they keep supporting the game and release some more MP stuff like a new mode, more cars and tracks (Tracks are kind of limited). But so far its a must have it you like racing games and have a couple people to play with.
