the only pokemon game I ever played was Pokemon Snap on N64, which was surprisingly addictive.

I'm a little interested only because there finally adding new features like 3d Environments and what not. I did like soul silver and it was a hell of a lot of fun but that cured my Pokemon itch since the last one I played before that was sapphire but I never finished that one. Nothing beats the original 151 Pokemons all the new ones look weird and emo lmao that's why I never played Diamond/Pearl never caught my eye.

Yeah I only ever played the original Blue/Red back on the Gameboy. I'll admit, if they ever made a 3D remake with the original set, I would probably buy. Otherwise, Im not interested. And of course bring back Gary lol.

Diamond/Pearl were a little disappointing, but HG/SS made up for it. Black and White looks to be moving in the right direction in terms of innovation graphically, and yeah nothing beats the original 151 set. But for some strange reason, I need to know what those silhouettes will look like.

I really enjoy the Pokémon franchise and I actually used to run a very popular online Pokémon Stadium (online turn-based battles) as a kid, way back when InsideTheWeb message boards were really popular. Despite sharing the same name, my site and game were actually around before Pokémon Stadium for the N64 was made. Looking back, the whole thing was really silly, but stuff like that is cool when you're a kid. I enjoyed being recognized and it made me feel proud when other similar sites started copying some of my ideas. Ha ha.

Anyway...although I like the franchise, I agree that it doesn't get any better than the original 151. Some of the new monsters/creatures are cool, but they feel tacked on and not nearly as special. As far as I'm concerned, no other Pokémon game will ever have the same charm as the first one.

Ha ha, not quite the same...it was a really fun game, though. If you liked that, then you should check out Afrika for the PS3. It doesn't have cute little monsters, but it's a similar kind of game.
