Have any of you had to deal with fanboyism in the past with the other generations?

Also state what fanboys you were, even what kind of a fanboy you are this generation

I know I used to be an hardcore SNES fanboy and wouldn't even consider the other options :P As for now I do not side with any one console except maybe PSP fanboy over the DS, the 360 and PS3 are too close to compare one another to and choose though lol

I favored the PS2 over the Xbox and the PSP over the DS, making me a Sony fanboy then, but now I favor the 360 over the PS3 :P

I was a Nintendo Fanboy back in the day. NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube..... u couldn't get me to touch a PS controller, let alone play one.

I favored the XBOX over the PS2.

As far as handhelds I was a Nintendo fanboy as well (although I did have the Sega Gamegear... anyone remember that?). I got out of the handhelds tho.

All I own now is the 360.

I'm with you on that one. I'm still a Nintendo fanboy of sorts. I still own SNES, N64, gamecube, and I got my DS and Wii. They've been rather disappointing lately tho.

Always been a sony hater since the psone. Hated the controllers, and the 24k buffer was cute. My Comodore 64 had more power behind it. That and sony's business practice of slapping anything they could on a disk just to have more games than the other consoles left a bad taste in my mouth.

And as much as I despise the monstrosity that is M$, I do love my xbox.

I was a huge SNES fanboy back in the day and it was great because I was always defending it against the Sega Genesis lol! I finally gave in when we got a Genesis for Christmas and found out it was pretty cool!

I have a friend who still goes on about sega being better than nintendo.
Tries to get me to argue mario vs. sonic.

I've always been pretty loyal to Nintendo (especially back then), but it never stopped me from playing other consoles.

hahaha oh man, the MOONWALKER game!?!? That was the strangest thing on the planet!
MJ would dance so well and so fast that the enemies on screen would EXPLODE!
I remember playing that in the arcade.
